An author writing her first novel

I coached Deborah for a  year, through her transition from employment, moving abroad and establishing herself as a professional novelist.

The coaching assignment came to an end as Deborah’s first novel was accepted by an agent.  I’m looking forward to reading it once it is published.

“Alison’s coaching is insightful, warm, and – most importantly – very effective. When I moved from the public sector into self-employment, and was looking to achieve a life-long ambition, she helped me to identify the right interim goals, find ways to be accountable for my own progress, and to unpick potential pitfalls in my own language and thinking.

Over the course of a year, with regular sessions, both virtual and in-person, I succeeded in writing my first book.

One of the most impressive things about Alison’s approach is how it taps into your own resources, staying and growing with you between sessions or when the programme has come to an end. A few months after our last session, I still action plan, motivate myself and structure my time in ways I found with Alison. It really works! I have secured an agent, and am looking forward to publication.”
